+++++++++++++ Our School Sidney Stringer is located in the heart of Coventry, an
ethnically diverse city with a wide mix of cultures. The school serves the
communities of Hillfields and Foleshill, as well as drawing students from
around the city. The
new picture (left) was taken during a photography workshop organised with the
BBC, who are currently working with students from the school to stage a
production of Romeo and Juliet (more details below). |

Autumn Term
Autumn Term is progressing well and we are delighted to welcome
pupils who are new to the school. Note that the school day now runs from
8.40am to 3.10pm. Friday 27th
November will be a teacher’s training day. School will be closed to
pupils on this day. Thursday
17th December will be the next Progress Day on
which all pupils should attend with an adult from home to discuss their
individual progress and set targets for the term ahead. Academy Vice
Principal job applications welcomed – see the Academy
section for details. This is a new position and we welcome inquiries and
applications from interested candidates. The Academy plans are developing fast and admissions arrangements

OFSTED visited Sidney Stringer in October to evaluate the school
with a particular focus on Creativity in the curriculum. Their letter gives
detailed feedback, including description of many aspects of the school as
“outstanding”, in addition to thanking the contribution of all those who
